We live in an age where universities and colleges teach us that truth is relative to the person and subjective to the situation. We are taught that we are nothing more than the result of the natural progression of evolution and natural selection. The implications of this can be seen in the eyes of every hopeless person, in the weary walk of every disillusioned human. It is no exaggeration to say that the great pandemic of this age is not a disease of the body, but of the mind. We are taught so persistently that there is no such thing as truth or purpose, that life has no reason other than itself. And so is it surprising to us that, more than ever before, we are people who suffer from depression? Are we shocked to find that the third leading cause of death for the ages of 15 to 25 is suicide?

JAM is our response to this pandemic. At JAM, our foundation is the Word of God. Ephesians 3:9-12 shows us that God’s eternal plan is the Church. 1 Timothy 3:15 teaches us that the Church is the Pillar and Foundation of Truth. From these 2 verses we see that life is not purposeless, but God has a specific and personal plan for each of us: to be brought in to His Church; where we can have a real a relationship with Him and with His people. We also see that there is such a thing as truth, real objective truth! And that the Church’s purpose is uphold it, to believe it, to teach it, to live it.
